Shia LaBeouf made a shocking confession about Francis Ford Coppola in the new documentary Megadoc. It will be released in theaters on September 19. In it, he shared his not-so-good experience working with Coppola on Megalopolis. He shared an anecdote with director Mike Figgis in which he claimed that Coppola called him a difficult actor to work with. Their debates throughout the filming process have also been documented in the upcoming project.

LaBeouf shared a story with Figgis towards the end of the documentary. He revealed that Coppola expressed his one regret on the show, LaBeouf. Further, he clarified that the American filmmaker considered him difficult to work with. This confession came right after the duo argued over a scene in Megalopolis on Day 72 of filming.
He narrated the events that happened between him and Coppola. He said, “He says, ‘You know, I have one regret on this show.’ I said, ‘Okay, what’s the one regret?’ He goes, ‘You. You have been the biggest pain in my f—— ass’ — the only time he cursed — ‘You have been the biggest pain in my f——- ass of any actor I’ve ever worked with.” LaBeouf was in disbelief after hearing Coppola’s words and reacted, “I said, ‘Really? Really? Any actor?”
He also discussed Marlon Brando and Coppola’s infamous situation on the sets of 1979’s Apocalypse Now. Alluding to Brando, he added, ” Did I show up f—— 700 pounds overweight in the jungle? Really? Any actor? Did I quit 10 days before we wrapped?” (via PEOPLE).
The Peanut Butter Falcon actor called Coppola’s hurtful words “dramatic.”But Coppola refused to call them dramatic and told him to “get out.” Megalopolis was released on September 27, 2024. In the movie, LaBeouf played Cesar’s jealous cousin, Clodius Pulcher.
