Rob Shuter has recently reported that Harrison Ford’s surprise exit from the 2025 Emmy Awards was an outburst of disappointment. Insider sources claim that the Hollywood icon walked out of the ceremony after feeling humiliated by the snub and has reportedly decided never to attend the Emmys again.

This year, the 83-year-old A-lister earned his first Emmy nomination for his incredible performance in the comedy-drama series Shrinking. Both he and Michael Urie from the series were up for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award.

Ford was reportedly assured that he would win the category. However, the Emmy finally went to Jeff Hiller from Somebody Somewhere. The actor was not happy with the snub and ended up leaving the ceremony prematurely.

“He looked like he’d seen a ghost,” the source revealed. “He came expecting to win. When his name wasn’t called, he grabbed Calista and bolted.”

Another insider stated that Ford was furious after the ceremony. “He told friends he’ll never attend the Emmys again. He doesn’t need the validation, and after that embarrassment, he doesn’t see the point,” they shared.

Ford has been a seminal presence in the industry for over six decades, headlining blockbusters like the Star Wars film series, the Indiana Jones franchise, Blade Runner, and numerous others. So, receiving his first Emmy nod and losing it soon after did not sit well with the star.

As per another insider, “Harrison thought this was his moment. Instead, it turned into a humiliation he’ll never forget.”

Harrison Ford played Dr. Paul Rhoades, a senior therapist struggling with Parkinson’s disease, in Apple TV+’s Shrinking. The series also stars Jason Segel, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and more. Following the massive success of its first two seasons, Shrinking has been officially renewed for a third installment.
