According to insiders, Harry has been putting in persistent efforts to repair relations with the royal family. However, his reconciliation appears to have been successful only with his father. This has reportedly drifted him further away from the Prince of Wales.
Source says King Charles can help Prince Harry before he gets exiled by the future king
Prince Harry recently met King Charles during his recent trip to the UK. With no support from Prince William, the King appears to be the only hope to mend ties with the royal family. A source told the Daily Mail, “William is back at the point where if you mention Prince Harry in his presence he would throw you out of the room.” They added, “He’s doubling down.”
The source explained that William’s stance had come after Harry’s 54-minute-long meeting with the King at Clarence House. This was reportedly their first proper contact in 19 months.
Pointing to Queen Elizabeth II’s plea for the public to accept Camilla as Queen Consort, another insider claimed, “Harry would one day like his father to encourage the nation to accept him back again.” They continued, “If Charles could do something along those lines, Harry would have some hope of not being completely exiled for good when William becomes King.”
Additionally, royal experts emphasized that the growing differences between Charles and William may work in Harry’s favor. Royal biographer Tina Brown suggested that the King is currently more “irritated” with his heir than Harry. William was reportedly criticized for undertaking fewer engagements than his father despite the King’s illness.
Even so, royal insiders stressed, “William is more determined than ever to cut Harry off altogether.” Nevertheless, for now, Prince Harry’s future within the royal family allegedly rests on King Charles’s willingness. Without Charles’s support, insiders believe the Duke of Sussex risks being permanently sidelined once Prince William takes the throne.
