Charli XCX, who recently launched her acting career with her feature film debut Erupcja, attended the Toronto International Film Festival wearing a black sheer dress. The drama movie was helmed by Pete Ohs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Charli XCX, Jeremy O. Harris, Lena Góra, and Will Madden.
Charli XCX wears sheer LBD at TIFF
Charli XCX arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival in a black sheer dress from Chanel LBD. The dress was a nod to Carrie Bradshaw’s famed naked dress from Sex and the City.
The dress was slightly transparent, and had three stripes on the sides, with some curvy and straight stripes on the top-middle portion. It covered the singer’s chest and extended all the way down to her thighs. Meanwhile, the hem portion was pleated and had vents.
The Brat hitmaker completed her look with black satin pumps and accessorized with a black leather shoulder bag, both of which were from Chanel. She styled her long, flowing jet black hair in a soft, side-parted manner and wore a bold, black eyeliner and smoky eyeshadow.
Charli XCX sported a different attire for the TIFF afterparty. She donned a fuzzy jacket, a sheer black cotton top, and metallic-pinstriped trousers. However, she retained her side-parted hair and eyeliner (via Nylon).
The three-time Grammy winner arrived at TIFF to promote her film debut Erupjca. As of writing, the film has a 90% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. Meanwhile, Metacritic has given the movie a score of 69, indicating generally favorable reviews.
The film’s story is set in Warsaw, Poland, and follows Bethany, who ditches a romantic itinerary planned by her boyfriend Rob (Will Madden), fearing that a marriage proposal is on the horizon. The former decides to reconnect with her old friend Nel (Lena Góra), effectively rekindling a unique chemistry they once shared.
Besides Erupjca, Charli XCX has other projects lined up for the future. These include 100 Nights of Hero, Faces of Death, The Gallerist, Sacrifice, and I Want Sex.
