Coldplay frontman Chris Martin called out the couple and jokingly suggested they were having an affair. Subsequently, rumors about the true nature of the pair’s relationship began circulating online.

Kristin Cabot filed a petition for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, on August 13, 2025, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. As per court documents, the divorce process is ongoing (via NBC News).
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 26, 2025, in the family division of the New Hampshire 10th Circuit Court. Cabot and former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron made headlines on July 16, 2025, after they were shown in an affectionate embrace on a jumbotron during Coldplay’s performance at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts. After Cabot was spotted being embraced by Byron from behind, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly remarked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Three days after the incident, Byron resigned from Astronomer. His resignation was confirmed in a statement by the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) page. Byron’s resignation was followed by that of Cabot’s several days later.
Kristin and Andrew Cabot’s marriage had reportedly been deteriorating before the divorce. According to Andrew’s ex-wife, Julia, he had a nonchalant response to Kristin and Andy’s Coldplay kiss cam incident.
“I texted Andrew right after it happened,” Julia told The Daily Mail. “And he said: ‘Her life is nothing to do with me,’ and said they were separating.” She later stressed that the only thing he cared about was money. Further, she added that he wasn’t “husband material.” Julia also took a jab at Kristin Cabot, noting that she wasn’t “wife material.”
