To promote the brand, she also wore flip-flops, which are beige in color with green straps. Against a beach backdrop, she held a surfboard behind her, slightly leaning on it for a perfect pose. In an interview with Elle, Hadid called the brand “iconic for a reason.” As its global ambassador, she explained why she likes the brand’s footwear for any occasion. She said, “Whether it’s my shorts to go to volleyball practice, or jeans to go get a smoothie, or a dress, it feels like me to put on Havaianas.”
She also shared her flip-flop styling tips, revealing how they could be paired effortlessly on any occasion, be it for a dinner night or a vacation. “I think whatever the vibe of the day is. Then, if it was something more formal, like if you’re on a vacation and going to dinner for the night, you could wear a little dress with a flip-flop and an anklet—that can be fine jewelry, or you can funk it up with something beaded or costume jewelry. I think that’s just as chic, if not cooler, than the sandals that are done by every luxury brand that kind of look the same with a different logo on them.” She noted that she views wearing flip-flops as her form of self-expression, adding that it looks girly yet effortlessly stylish.
