The proposal took place in June 2025 during Paris Fashion Week. Prior to that, the couple were spotted multiple times in different venues, ranging from mosques to upscale restaurants. The engagement comes nearly a year after the Princess publicly divorced her previous husband.
Mahra is the daughter of United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She is a renowned philanthropist. Her Instagram announcement of divorcing her previous husband caught the attention of many.
