The trailer for Degrassi: Whatever it Takes showcased Drake sharing about his first kiss on the set.

In the original series, Drake’s character, Jimmy Brooks, shares a passionate kiss with Lauren Collins’ character, Paige Michalchuk. The accompanying documentary shows this scene, and afterward, Drake reflects on the moment with Collins, saying, “She had to be one of my first kisses for sure. Damn, I never thought about it like that.”

Earlier in the clip, Drake recalled the time when he got hired for the role in the beloved show. He said, “I didn’t have a great time in high school, I just didn’t really fit in. Then one day, my mom called me and told me, ‘You got the role.’ And I just grabbed my bag and left. And man, what a wild journey that started.”

Previously, the ‘Rich Baby Daddy’ singer took to Instagram to share a memo, where he revealed getting “high” before the Degrassi audition. He said, “I go back to this day when I was like 13 or 14. I had an audition for a TV show that ultimately shaped my life,” he explained, referring to Degrassi. “Before my audition, I went to this kid’s house. And I, out of, I guess, a desire to be accepted, I would succumb to peer pressure, and I got high with these kids right before my audition.”

He further revealed that he often wonders about the outcome of his life being different if “something bad” had happened that day. Drake also thinks deeply about whether his successful life is a piece of reality or imagination. He explains, “You know, maybe I’m still high, maybe I’m in some coma. And this is just, like, me playing out my ideal life. That concept has stuck with me for a lot of years.”
