As fans eagerly await the arrival of Marvel Rivals Season 4, recently released leaks about the upcoming update have all but confirmed Deadpool‘s debut in the video game. Released on December 6, 2024, the hero shooter game has introduced a total of 41 playable characters so far, with ongoing speculations suggesting that the Merc with a Mouth will soon become the 42nd addition to the ever-expanding roster of Marvel Rivals.
Leaked Marvel Rivals voice lines suggest Deadpool will appear in Season 4
On August 25, renowned leaker X0XLEAK took to their X (formerly Twitter) profile to share a clip of Marvel Rivals characters exchanging voice lines with Deadpool.
The video features a number of superheroes from the existing Marvel Rivals lineup saying lines addressed to Wade Wilson, suggesting that Deadpool will become a playable character in Season 4. The Marvel heroes who make an appearance in the audio-only snippet include Bruce Banner, Punisher, Storm, Doctor Strange, Mantis, Rocket, Magik, Venom, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Peni Parker, Namor, and Wolverine.
In addition to X0XLEAK’s update, Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals as well as Sony’s Spider-Man games, also seems to have confirmed Deadpool’s debut in Season 4 of the game. During a fan interaction, the veteran voice actor was asked about his favorite character interactions in Marvel Rivals. Lowenthal casually replied, “I really like the dynamic between Spider-Man & Deadpool.” However, as soon as the fan reminded Lowenthal that Deadpool has yet to make his debut in the game, the Arcane star altered his response by saying, “Well, I mean in general.”
Aside from Deadpool, X0XLEAK shared another voice line exchange clip on his X profile, this time featuring the characters of Venom and Squirrel Girl talking to Daredevil. As such, fans speculate that Matt Murdoch could join Deadpool in becoming the latest addition to Marvel Rivals when Season 4 rolls around next month. Despite the updates, NetEase has yet to share any official word on the introduction of either Daredevil or Deadpool.
