Coldplay’s Chris Martin seemingly poked fun at the Astronomer CEO incident during a recent concert. During the event, the singer was seen helping a man with a proposal. However, things took a hilarious turn when Martin appeared to make a playful nod to the kiss cam controversy involving Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot.

Chris Martin recently seemingly took a dig at the Astronomer CEO’s controversy during a Coldplay concert.
At Wembley Stadium on Friday, August 22, Martin decided to help a fan wanting to propose to his partner. A TikTok video saw the man holding a sign reading, “I want to propose,” pointing towards the woman standing in front of him. Martin agreed to help the fan and hilariously stated, “Okay, now listen. My brother, I need you to nod as I do some basic security checks, okay?” The 48-year-old further asked, “Is this person your partner? Yes? No one else’s partner?”
The fan nodded while Martin continued, “Are you cousins or siblings, or anything weird like that? Are you AI? Are you real people? Okay, then I think we can continue.” After confirming his doubts, the “Fix You” singer sang, “My beautiful brother, here is some advice for free. As we all look on and see you go down, I advise you to get down on one knee.” As such, the man proceeded to propose to his lover, and the couple shared a kiss, with the audience cheering on.
Martin continued singing, “Congratulations, my brother and my sister. What a beautiful girl. What a wonderful guy. On a day like this, I encourage you to kiss. I hope you’re happy until the day that you die.”
Notably, this comes after the kiss cam scandal at one of the band’s concerts took over the internet earlier, involving now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR executive Kristin Cabot. The duo ended up hiding their faces after being caught on camera, with Martin joking about them having an affair. “Oh, look at these two! All right, c’mon, you’re okay. Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy, ” he said. Following the incident, Byron and Cabot ended up resigning from the company.
