Since the time the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began, Taylor Swift‘s name has been inevitably involved, ultimately leading to a fallout between Swift and her friend, Blake Lively. But a report has recently revealed that Swift may have cost Baldoni a significant amount of money, too.
How Taylor Swift might have cost Justin Baldoni a lot of money
As per the latest report from TMZ, which uncovered some new evidence, Street Relations Inc., a crisis PR firm employed by Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, requested an additional $30K fee to deal with possible online backlash from Taylor Swift fans, also known as Swifties.
An exhibit filed in the case is an email from August 7, 2024, that revealed this plan. The bottom line of the email read, “The social team are now worried about Blake activating the Taylor Swift fan base, which is a major concern. With this in mind and to ensure Justin and the studio are 100% protected moving forward, they have now changed the fee to $30,000 per month due to the uptick in social chatter.”
An invoice reportedly confirmed that Baldoni’s company was billed for this.
Interestingly, Taylor Swift distanced herself from the case and subsequently from Blake Lively after Lively dragged Taylor’s name into the legal proceedings. A source told Page Six of Taylor’s reaction to this. The source said that Taylor will “forever be furious at how Blake quite clearly was using her for clout and leverage in her dealings with Justin.”
Yet, Taylor Swift cost Justin Baldoni a fortune, mainly owing to her passionate fans.
Recently, rumors stated that Blake Lively had been cut out of Taylor Swift’s close circle. This was seemingly also the reason why she was not invited to Selena Gomez’s birthday party, as per reports.
