Fans curious about Jason Kelce’s family dynamic with Taylor Swift may be intrigued to learn that his kids share a unique connection with the pop superstar. From playful moments to heartwarming interactions, their bond has sparked plenty of attention among Swifties and NFL fans alike.

Here’s the inside scoop on their sweet and surprising friendship.

Jason Kelce talks about his kids interacting with Taylor Swift’s cats

Recently, as reported by E! News, Taylor Swift appeared on the New Heights podcast, where she discussed her growing bond with the entire Kelce family. This includes her interactions with Jason’s daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley.

Before this, as per PEOPLE, Jason, the retired NFL player, mentioned in one of his podcast episodes that he had been telling his daughters that cats are “poisonous” to avoid bringing a cat into their home. He joked about this to keep the girls from wanting to adopt a feline. However, he has since been anticipating the day his daughters would meet Taylor Swift and spend time with her.

The singer known for “Bad Blood” has already introduced her cats to the girls, namely Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button. During her podcast interview, she reminisced about her chat with the girls. She expressed her determination to convince Jason to welcome a cat into their family, despite his amusing excuse.

“It was actually really a great challenge, because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous.” She further added, “The cats are so good with kids. They’re just like, ‘Meredith is here.’ I’m like, ‘Yup and you know what, she didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn’t be poisonous.’ They’re like, ‘That’s not what our dad said.'”

Similarly, to demonstrate that cats are friendly, Taylor knows which of her cats would be the best choice. “And there’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag-doll cat who lets humans hold him like he’s a baby.”
