Travis Kelce said seeing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour “knocked my socks off” and made him want to meet her. Speaking on his New Heights podcast, Kelce shared how the connection grew from that moment to their current relationship.

Travis Kelce talks about Taylor Swift’s relationship and Eras Tour
On the August 13 episode of the New Heights podcast, Taylor Swift discussed the physical demands of her Eras Tour.
She said, “It was a lot of physical therapy and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort.” Comparing it to an NFL season, Swift told Travis Kelce, “I’m not getting hit by huge 300-pounders, but the heels…” Kelce noted seeing her recovery equipment and said, “The similarities were crazy. I was like, ‘Oh my Gosh. She does more than I do.’”
Swift added, “We’re like comparing physical therapy stories… recovery stuff,” to which Kelce responded, “We related on how much torture we put our bodies through.”
During the same episode, Swift announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Kelce told her, “I give The Eras Tour credit, because if I had never gone to that show and just been mesmerized… I would’ve never gone on [New Heights] and told everybody how butthurt I was.” He was referring to attending her July 2023 Arrowhead Stadium concert and later publicly expressing his desire to meet her.
Kelce told Swift, “I had never been so engulfed in the curiosity of who you were,” and, “I’m telling you. She makes me so much better.” Swift replied, “Thank you for saying that.” Kelce recalled, “We see you on the stage… then I get you in a room and it’s like I’ve known you forever. It was just the easiest conversation I ever had… it just knocked my socks off.”
The couple began dating in September 2023, went Instagram official in July 2024, and made their red-carpet debut in June 2025. The August 13 podcast aired a day after teasing her appearance, with Kelce cheering “TS 12!” after her album reveal.
