In a recent conversation with British GQ, NFL star Travis Kelce gave a detailed look into his relationship with singer Taylor Swift. The football player was asked how the two maintain their bond despite their demanding careers and constant public attention.
Kelce described the start of their relationship as entirely unplanned, saying it developed “very organically” even while public interest rapidly escalated. He said, “Whenever I’m with her, it feels like we’re just regular people. When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love.”
While acknowledging that their relationship is often perceived differently because of how frequently they are followed in public, Kelce emphasized that their relationship’s beginnings were “normal.” The NFL star said, “It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it’s as normal of…. It happened very organically even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked.”
Recalling their early interactions, Kelce explained, “Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process. When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with.” Talking about their shared values, he added, “We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f— off.”
Notably, Swift will be seen in the upcoming episode of New Heights, the podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother. In a preview segment, she announced the release of her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl.
