Jennifer Aniston recently spoke about her role in The Morning Show in a recent interview. During the conversation, she spoke about a character in the show who’s a tech mogul and also shared her thoughts on Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Jennifer Aniston comments on Elon Musk’s sex appeal
Jennifer Aniston’s character Alex’s love interest in The Morning Show is Paul Marks, a tech mogul and buyer of UBA, played by Jon Hamm. During Aniston’s conversation with Vanity Fair, when interviewer Julie Miller noted a resemblance between Paul and Elon Musk, the actress dismissed the comparison, saying she does not find Musk attractive. The Friends star said, “I don’t find him desirable in any way or shape.”
Previously, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Lauren Neustadter shared that Hamm was a perfect choice to play Paul Marks. He said, “Paul Marks is a character who is an amalgam of a lot of different individuals. And he’s also incredibly grounded and authentic in a way that feels very Charlotte Stoudt.”
Co-executive producer Kristin Hahn also noted that they could only think of Hamm to play the role of Paul Marks. They wanted to put Hamm and Aniston together, given their years-long friendship and their wish to work together for a long time.
“Jen [Aniston] and Jon [Hamm] have been friendly for years and have wanted to work together I think for a while. So when Paul Marks became a part of the conversation, it was a list of one. And so it was a little scary because if he had said no, I don’t know what we would have done. It was this or bust. Thankfully, he said yes,” she added.
