Machine Gun Kelly has addressed rumors linking him to Sydney Sweeney. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, the musician was asked if there was any truth to claims that they were more than friends. He swiftly dismissed the rumors and replied with a lighthearted, “Shut up!”
MGK responds to Sydney Sweeney dating rumors
MGK has set the record straight on speculation linking him to Sydney Sweeney.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, August 10, he was put on the spot when host Andy Cohen read a fan question asking if he and the Euphoria star had ever been “more than just friends.”
Without missing a beat, MGK looked into the camera, shook his head, and replied with a grin, “Kyle P., shut up, dude.”
MGK and Sweeney first met on the set of Big Time Adolescence in 2019 and later reunited for his 2021 directorial debut, Downfalls High. In May, not long after Sweeney’s split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, the two were seen together at the grand opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas.
The event also included Patrick Schwarzenegger, who appeared with them in a group photo Sweeney posted to Instagram Stories. She stood smiling between the two actors with her hands on her back.
Over the same weekend, videos showing MGK and Sweeney quickly spread across TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), prompting dating speculations. The Euphoria star has not commented publicly on the rumors.
Away from the headlines, MGK welcomed daughter Saga Blade with former fiancée Megan Fox in March. The pair, who became engaged in January 2022, ended their relationship in November 2024, shortly after announcing they were pregnant. MGK is also the father to 16-year-old Casie, from his earlier relationship with Emma Cannon.
Kelly also released a new album, Lost American, on August 8, 2025.
