Spider-Man 4 Rumor Suggests More Heroes To Appear in Brand New Day

A new rumor has intensified speculation about Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Fresh reports claim the upcoming film will feature more MCU heroes than previously confirmed, hinting at significant character additions as the story expands.

More heroes besides Punisher and Hulk could be in Spider-Man 4

Scooper MyTimeToShineHello posted, “Not only other villains, but other heroes too! Are in Spider-Man Brand New Day.” This follows earlier reports that the film will include several previously undisclosed villains.

So far, Marvel has only confirmed The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, and The Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, as hero appearances alongside Spider-Man. The rumor fuels ongoing speculation about other possible appearances, including unverified talk of Jean Grey’s MCU debut.

Reports previously linked Sadie Sink to Jean Grey, but new claims suggest she may play Gwen Stacy. Internet scooper Kristian Harloff described this casting as “pretty close to guarantee,” though Marvel has not confirmed her role.

Brand New Day draws from the comic storyline set after One More Day and Civil War, following Peter Parker as he rebuilds his life. The arc brings new characters like Carlie Cooper and Lily Hollister, also known as Menace, which has fueled casting theories. Set photos have shown Spider-Man with larger web-shooters, and MTTSH hinted these will have a narrative explanation.

The cast features Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Michael Mando, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Sadie Sink. Zendaya and Batalon will return as MJ and Ned Leeds, though they are not expected to have major screen time. Earlier, at CinemaCon, director Destin Daniel Cretton said the team is creating “an emotional story” and “a ride that we haven’t really seen before.” (via Variety)

Marvel Studios will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers wrote the screenplay, with several surprise roles remaining undisclosed.
