Maluma stops concert to scold a mother with 1-year old baby
Maluma decided to pause his weekend concert in Mexico City to scold a mother attending the event with a baby.
The 31-year-old was seen getting concerned for the child and scolded the mother for bringing the baby to a noisy event without ear protection. The video of the interaction was posted by Pop Crave on X. As seen in the clip, Maluma asks the woman about the baby in Spanish. According to Variety‘s translation, he said, “With all due respect… how old are they ? A year old? Less? A year.”
.
The “Sobrio” singer further added, “Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f—ing high? Where is the sound this loud? That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here. Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility.”
Maluma concluded, “You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real. I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.” The singer’s concern for a child reflects how fatherhood has deeply impacted him. He welcomed his first child, a baby girl, with girlfriend Susana Gomez in March of last year. The couple named their child Paris Londoño Gomez.
In his interview with Allure, the musician opened up about his feelings of becoming a dad. He stated, “Everything changed. And I love it. Now, I wake up every day with the desire to conquer the world. I know I have to f—ing kill it.”
