The Batman 2 May Not Bring Zoë Kravitz Back as Catwoman

Rumors are swirling about Zoë Kravitz’s involvement as Catwoman in The Batman Part 2. Recent reports suggest Kravitz may not reprise her role as Catwoman, sparking speculation about the sequel’s direction. However, there is still uncertainty, with some hinting that the claims could simply be a way to avoid questions.

Rumor suggests Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman won’t be in The Batman 2

On The Hot Mic show, Jeff Sneider stated, “The representatives for Zoe Kravitz…instructed the press, don’t ask Zoe any questions about The Batman Part 2. She’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything.”

He stressed this came from interviews at another film’s junket. At the event, the press were told directly, “Don’t ask her any questions about…she’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything.”

This has led to speculation that Catwoman will not appear in the sequel. John Rocha added, “So Catwoman is not in The Batman Part 2 even though she was a big [part of the first film].” Sneider stated, “Listen, only six people on the planet have read the script…don’t worry about what everybody else thinks.” He clarified he was “just passing along what the other journalists at the Caught Stealing junket were told.” He noted that this information came second-hand from press instructions.

The discussion highlighted that previous Catwoman portrayals followed a one-film pattern. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman appeared only in Batman Returns, while Anne Hathaway’s version was limited to The Dark Knight Rises. Sneider observed, “Maybe this is just Catwoman tradition, you do one,” suggesting her absence may align with this precedent.

Rocha also speculated that without Catwoman, “There’s a space for a Robin or someone there to help the Batman ‘cause she helped the Batman in the first movie. It feels like maybe someone could be sliding in there to take that spot.”

At the same time, Sneider acknowledged uncertainty, adding, “Maybe this is also a lie…just to get the press to be good little boys and girls and not ask Zoe questions that they have every right to ask at a junket.” Rocha concluded, “No Catwoman, no Zoe Kravitz in The Batman Part 2. That’s what apparently has been said here. So, we will see.”
