On Monday, August 4, Drake posted a selfie of Gracie Abrams on his Instagram Story, followed by an image of himself performing. Both shared a similar brown birthmark, which became the subject of his caption. “I used to hate my birthmark but Gracie got the same one. Now it’s art,” he wrote.

While some fans interpreted this as harmless admiration, others viewed it as odd and unnecessary. Social media quickly erupted with mixed reactions, with some people shipping a potential collaboration while others questioned his intentions.

One user tweeted, “Whys [ why is] Drake obsessed with Gracie?” Another wrote, “Drake reposting gracie wtf wasn’t in my bucket list.” Meanwhile, a fan added, “Why is Drake posting Gracie like this? Oh my god, stay away.”

Several comments even criticized the age difference, calling his behavior “weird.” One fan quipped, “Drake got her on his story quoting birthmarks like it’s poetry. I’d delete my whole identity if he posted me like that.”

This is not the first time Drake has mentioned Gracie Abrams on his social media this year. Back in March, he praised her track “I Knew It, I Know You” on Instagram. He wrote, “[GOAT]’d beat switch on this. Second half is [sad emoji, brain exploding emoji, blue heart emoji].” Fans immediately revisited the song’s music video and flooded the comment section after his endorsement.

Interestingly, Drake and Abrams do not share a public friendship. Abrams, 25, is currently dating actor Paul Mescal, while Drake is busy touring Europe. At the same time, Abrams has upcoming shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
