Initially, the family of the music legend did not reveal a cause of death for the 76-year-old heavy metal pioneer. But the New York Times recently obtained the death certificate filed at a registry in London by Osbourne’s daughter, Aimée Osbourne.

The death certificate states that Ozzy Osbourne died from cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease, among other causes. The certificate also noted that the famed singer was suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

As reported by The New York Times, the cause of death was listed as, “(a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) Acute myocardial infarction (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).”

Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, announced in February of this year that he would do a concert, which would possibly be his last. The July 5, 2025, concert featured two brief sets by Ozzy Osbourne, which became his final set of performances. He also reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the event.

Regarded as one of the most iconic musicians of all time, he sold more than 100 million albums through his solo work and Black Sabbath releases. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and as a member of Black Sabbath. He also achieved a high level of fame through his appearances in reality television shows.
