Here’s what Marc Maron said about Taylor Swift song

Stand-up comedian Marc Maron unveiled his experience of discovering Taylor Swift at the new HBO special, titled Marc Maron: Panicked. The 61-year-old artist talked about the impact of Swift’s Midnights track “Bigger Than the Whole Sky.”

The comedian revealed in the special that he chose to listen to Taylor Swift’s 2022 album Midnights during a hike after the demise of his partner Lynn Shelton. Maron recalled his first impression of listening to “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” about “halfway up the mountain.”

As the song went on, Maron yelled “oh my god” before tears started rolling down. The comic added, “So now, I’m crying. I’m audibly crying. I’m hiking up the hill, and I’m sobbing out loud, but I just put it on repeat because I want to feel the feels.”

During his hike, Maron experienced a profound emotional breakdown as the song played on. He described the moment: “I’m just hiking up and I’m like, ‘Oh God, this is terrible.’ And then I bend down and I’m like, oh no, and then I go up and I’m like, ‘Oh f—!’ I just go down. I just black out.”

Following his initial emotional response, Maron recounted how Swift’s lyrics “Goodbye, goodbye” triggered a pivotal realization that compelled him to regain composure. “I brush myself off, and I drink some water,” he explained.

The experience led to a transformative epiphany for Maron. He shared with the audience, “I have this very deep realization, this feeling. I just thought in that moment, like, ‘I’m not afraid to die anymore because it’s just nothing.’ I don’t think, I’m not afraid to die anymore as long as it happens quickly and I have time to put that song on.”
