Paris Jackson ends engagement with Justin Long
Paris Jackson and Justin Long have officially ended their engagement, bringing their three-year relationship to an end.
PEOPLE confirmed the split after Jackson posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, July 31. In her post, she addressed the photos of her crying that had previously surfaced in July. The photos, taken around a month after the anniversary of her father Michael Jackson’s death, had sparked public speculation, prompting Paris to respond. She wrote on X that they were “breakup tears,” before adding, “Y’all are fkn reaching again.”
Most recently, in an interview with Access Hollywood in June, Paris Jackson revealed that wedding planning was already underway. She shared that her dress was being custom-made, the venue was finalized, and the wedding date had been selected with help from an astrologer. Laughingly, she added, “Because I’m from L.A. I’m all about the crystals and the astrologer, and all that stuff.”
Jackson and Long’s relationship began in 2022 after they met backstage at Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show. Long, a sound engineer, had approached Jackson while reviewing footage from the show. She recalled that he asked if he could offer his input, to which she responded, “I trust you.” That interaction quickly led to the beginning of their romance.
Jackson had announced her engagement to Long in December 2024. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she described him as someone she “couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect.” She also added, “Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.” She has since removed several photos of Long from her Instagram feed.
As of now, neither Jackson nor Long has shared the reason behind the breakup.
