Ozzy Osbourne’s Quote About Taylor Swift From 2014 Resurfaces

Following the very recent passing of legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne, a certain incident where he talked about Taylor Swift has resurfaced in the news. Back in 2014, she met the late heavy metal legend in one of his rare outings, and his wife recalled this incident in an interview.

So, what did Osbourne say about Swift? Here’s everything fans need to know about the two music icons’ interaction.

Here’s what Ozzy Osbourne said about Taylor Swift in 2014

In terms of music, Ozzy Osbourne and the “Bad Blood” singer are as far apart as artists could be. Yet, the Prince of Darkness had an unexpected warm thing to say about Taylor Swift after they met during a shopping trip in 2014.

Sharon Osbourne recounted the incident in a 2014 episode of The Talk, where Swift came as a guest. “Remember the time that we were all out shopping separately and we bumped into you, and I had Ozzy with me, and Kelly was there, and we all had chats in the store?” she asked the pop icon.

“Ozzy came away and he said, ‘Finally, out of all these young, new artists, I finally found one that is a true superstar,'” Sharon recalled her husband’s reaction. She added, “He said he’d never met anyone that had the aura that you have because your aura is one of elegance and just pure, just genuine talent.” (via Daily Mail)

Adding to this, Ozzy compared Swift to some of history’s most prominent women. “She’s like Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, all rolled into one,” he reportedly said to Sharon. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift was “flattered” by this revelation. She called it “the sweetest thing in the world.” Though she also joked that the “No More Tears” singer did not say much when they actually met.

Yet, this was a heartfelt moment that has had a resurgence after Ozzy Osbourne’s recent demise at the age of 76. He had his farewell concert on 5 July 2025. Following this, he passed away just 17 days later at his home in Buckinghamshire on the morning of July 22, 2025. The music and entertainment industry came together to pay tribute to the legendary musician, who spearheaded the iconic Black Sabbath.
