Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish sparked the curiosity of fans after her comments at a recent Dublin concert at 3Arena. It was an emotional moment for Eilish, who felt connected to the fans as she further quipped, “You’re all just as pasty as me. I love it.” The “Everything I Wanted” singer believed there could be “a thousand of [her] relatives” in the crowd.

The “Happier Than Ever” singer also complimented the audience, saying, “I love it here, it’s so beautiful and you are all so beautiful and I see so many familiar faces out there.”

Previously, Eilish had talked about her family history in a Hot Press interview, revealing she is “Scottish and Irish.” She explained, “I can’t tan at all. For years, nobody had ‘Eilish’ even in their vocabulary. Literally, the other day somebody stopped me in the street to take a picture, and he said that his girlfriend’s first name was ‘Eilish’. I was like, ‘Oh my God.’”

She continued, “I’m excited to go to Ireland and not be the only one. I like being unique and everything, but I would also like to be somewhere people can pronounce my name correctly.”

Meanwhile, the singer’s recent commentary on feeling “seen” in Dublin has received mixed responses on social media. While some criticized the comment, others feel that the singer was just expressing how she feels connected to her fans.

One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Spinning this into anything other than someone openly of Irish descent complimenting & connecting with the fans of the same descent is strange for you to do.”

Another fan commented on Reddit, “It is indeed fun to show up at a place where everyone looks like they could be your cousin. Not sure why people are reading into it…”
