Sacha Baron Cohen is now clarifying whether he used Ozempic or not for his recent body transformation. After initially joking that his new physique was the result of using the medication along with a personal trainer and private chef, the Marvel actor who recently played Mephisto in the final episode of Ironheart has backtracked.
Sacha Baron Cohen denies using Ozempic amid MCU body transformation
Sacha Baron Cohen has set social media abuzz after revealing his dramatically transformed physique in a new Men’s Fitness UK cover story. The Marvel actor posed shirtless in multiple images shared by the magazine on Instagram earlier this week. The photos, featuring Cohen flexing his muscles, quickly prompted widespread speculation. Many even questioned whether artificial intelligence had been used to enhance the images.
Cohen swiftly addressed the speculations, directly refuting the AI claims on his Instagram Story. Sharing the magazine cover, he wrote, “This is not AI. I really am egotistical enough to do this.” In a follow-up post showing off his back during a workout, he quipped, “Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I did all three.”
The Borat star also made lighthearted comments, joking about his “hard launching” of a “mid-life crisis.” In another story, he added, “Debuting my new character: Middle-aged man who replaced beer with protein shakes.” Cohen also gave credit to his personal trainer, Alfonso Moretti, acknowledging his patience and commitment.
However, as his social media posts sparked online backlash, Cohen’s team later clarified the remarks. Speaking to the Daily Mail, representatives stated that the actor was “only joking” about using Ozempic. The actor himself addressed the matter again in a follow-up Instagram Story. He wrote, “Despite reports, I did not take Ozempic. I got this body the honorable way. Paying a personal trainer a lot of money.” (via The Independent)
Cohen’s transformation comes ahead of his appearance as Mephisto, a Marvel Cinematic Universe villain. He debuted in the Ironheart season finale earlier this month.
