Pedro Pascal talks about why he addresses issues

Pedro Pascal has explained why he continues to use his public platform to speak out about world issues, such as his support to LQBTQ+ community. In a recent interview with Sky News, the actor reflected on how easily statements can be taken out of context in today’s media climate.

“I think it’s very easy to get scared no matter what you sort of talk about,” Pascal said. The actor added, “There’s so many different ways that things can get kind of fractured and have a life of itself really. It’s sort of a business part of the way media can work really.”

Pascal noted that while the media can often distort a message for headlines or social media engagement, it hasn’t affected him. He said, “There’s one thing that you can say and no matter what your intention behind it, it is absolutely lost in all of these different headlines, I suppose, but I’ll never shut up.”

The 50-year-old actor, known for both his performances and his advocacy, uses his platform to spread awareness about global issues. On several occasions, he has worn “Protect The Dolls” T-shirts to public events, a reference to supporting trans rights.

On Instagram, he has shared posts about food blockades into Gaza and information about LGBTQ helpline. The actor has also been linked to organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and The Trevor Project.

Meanwhile, on professional front, he is set to appear next in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, wherein he stars as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic.
