Matt Roloff, star of Little People, Big World, has announced that he and Caryn Chandler have ended their engagement. The couple, who had been together for more than six years, shared the news publicly through Roloff’s Instagram account on Tuesday, July 22.
In his post, Roloff wrote, “Hi everyone, I have some tough news to share. Caryn and I have decided to part ways & end our engagement. Life’s a continued journey and this is the right step for us at this time.”
Despite the decision to separate, Roloff made it clear that there is no animosity between them. He added, “We remain amicable and will always appreciate the many wonderful memories we have shared.”
Their relationship began after Caryn Chandler had worked as an employee at Roloff Farms. The two started dating in 2017, a year after Roloff finalized his divorce from ex-wife Amy Roloff. In April 2023, after six years together, Roloff confirmed their engagement in a statement to PEOPLE.
“After six wonderful years together, I asked Caryn to marry me and she said yes!” he said at the time. “Our plan is to enjoy our engagement and we are looking forward to a simple but elegant wedding in 2024.”
Roloff and Chandler’s relationship was frequently featured on Little People, Big World, which ran on TLC from 2006 to 2024. The reality series followed the lives of the Roloff family and gained a devoted audience over its 18-year run. The show is currently available to stream on platforms such as Tubi and Max (formerly HBO Max).
