During an interview of The Fantastic Four: First Steps cast with Alan Cumming on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Joseph Quinn revealed that he reached out to his friend Lupita Nyong’o to prepare for his first movie of the franchise. He shared that the Black Panther actress suggested he should go “blond” for the role.
However, the commitment towards the role did not just end at Quinn dying his hair; Pedro Pascal joked that you also have to “gotta go blond from the inside.” To this, the 31-year-old actor retorted, “It’s funny that I never knew I had just a little blond boy inside me. And it felt like coming home.”
Meanwhile, Quinn and Nyong’o previously worked together in A Quiet Place: Day One. The duo’s close friendship that started from the film’s set even sparked dating rumors. Nyong’o explained, “What I’ll say is that Joe [Quinn] has a similar work ethic to me.” She added, “He’s not concerned with his ego as much as he’s concerned with rooting for his character. He comes to work with a buoyancy, and he’s present.”
