Fans seem to think The Fantastic Four: First Steps star Vanessa Kirby is smitten with her co-star Pedro Pascal. The actress, who plays Sue Storm opposite Pascal’s Reed Richards in the film, joked she’d be “first in the line” to marry her on-screen husband in a recent interview.
What did Vanessa Kirby say about Pedro Pascal?
The on-screen married couple of the new Fantastic Four film, Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal, are sending fans into a frenzy with their affectionate opinions of each other. In a recent Hits Radio interview, Kirby was asked how Pascal was as her “husband” in the Marvel film.
The 36-year-old English actress was candid in her answer as she gushed, “I mean, who wouldn’t want to marry Pedro? I’m like first in the line, darling.” To which Pedro jokingly said in a low voice, “I could give you a long list of people who wouldn’t want to marry me.”
However, Kirby continued her praise for The Last of Us star as she noted, “He was the best ever” (as an on-screen husband). Kirby further added that there’s “no smoke without fire,” and the interviewer commented that Pascal is an absolute “smoke show.”
The Game of Thrones actor could not move on from the conversation before adding a subtle compliment for the Pieces of a Woman star. Pascal noted, “Look at the two of us and decide who’s smoking,” while gesturing at Kirby.
Previously, The Crown star had confessed in an interview with Madame Figaro that “it’s insane how much love” she has for Pascal. While discussing their filming experience for the new Marvel movie, the BAFTA winner disclosed that she felt the “luckiest” when Pascal said yes to the role of Mr. Fantastic.
She noted, “It was one of the best days of my life when he said yes. It’s insane how much love I have for this man, and I’m not alone, which is quite annoying.” The actress went ahead to claim that Pascal could be “one of the great loves” of her life who will be in her “heart” always. Kirby noted, “It’s a beautiful gift to me.”
While fans found Kirby’s sweet confession totally relatable, Pascal kept things light with his trademark humor. He playfully told his co-star to “chill” before their heartfelt moment turned the interview into a “weepy game.”
