Pedro Pascal shares how it felt working with Vanessa Kirby
Pedro Pascal recently spoke at length about his relationship with Vanessa Kirby during an interview on Jake’s Take. Host Jake Hamilton commented on the support between them and asked Pascal how that connection had impacted him.
In response, Pascal shared, “We’re always holding hands when we’re off carpet, by the way.” He went on to praise Kirby’s early support. The actor revealed that Kirby was cast before he joined the film and had actively advocated for him to be brought on board.
Pascal emphasized how thankful he was for her advocacy, saying, “I was one incredibly grateful, two, a huge fan.” He explained that their bond is built on a deep understanding of each other’s creative process and emotional experiences. “I think that we really, really see each other in ourselves in terms of our care for what we do, our care for one another, and our mutual fears, our mutual expectations.” He added, “We can be kind of hard on ourselves, and I just think that we’re very, very similar.”
Pascal described their on-set dynamic as one of mutual understanding and reassurance. He said, “So when you’re thrown into very heightened environments, we kind of are there to always remind each other that we’re not alone, that we’re in this together, that we’re all in this together.”
Pascal concluded by saying that working on a project as large as Fantastic Four can be both frightening and exciting. However, their connection helped him navigate those emotions. The actor explained, “We are always grabbing onto one another to remind each other that we’re not alone in any of it.”
