The couple held a small-scale ceremony attended by the former’s parents and Daniel’s The 1975 bandmates, except for Matty Healy. Healy did not attend the wedding, as he reportedly traveled to Los Angeles to attend a screening of I Know What You Did Last Summer, which stars his fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel (via Cosmopolitan).
For the occasion, Daniel wore a suit. Meanwhile, Charli XCX wore a silky off-shoulder midi dress and a classic tulle veil. At some point after leaving the venue, she also wore a pair of sunglasses. She wore the shades in a TikTok video showing her walking into a room, quickly turning around, and leaving. The text above the video read, “When George isn’t crying when he sees me walking down the aisle.” She captioned the footage, “luckily he did xx.”
The couple’s decision to marry in London came as a surprise. The Sun reported, via an insider, that the pair had planned to get married in Sicily. Additionally, the insider claimed the couple wanted to hold “a massive party” with no “restrictions on when the bar has to close.”

In the post, the three-time Grammy nominee shared a picture of a diamond engagement ring still in its box, situated between two cups of tea on a tray. She also shared a photo of herself kissing Daniel (via Billboard).
