In a recent interview with Pedestrian TV, Pedro Pascal articulated the impact of the community. He stated, “You inspire me. You are a symbol of courage. And you inspire fear in those that are afraid of being their true selves. And I think that’s the threat… your joy and your radical bravery in living your life in joy.”
Along with being an ally, Pascal had also previously slammed transphobic trolls in an Instagram post. He had shared an image that said, “A world without Trans people has never existed and never will.”
In a pinned comment, The Last of Us actor called out people who question the existence of the community. He wrote, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”
Pascal’s advocacy also has a personal significance. His youngest sister, Lux Pascal, publicly came out as transgender in February 2021. In an interview, she had disclosed how the Materialists star had been an instrumental part of her transition.
