As per TODAY, Taurasi and Taylor first crossed paths in 2004. The two reportedly dated for about 7-8 years before tying the knot in 2017, in Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, they seem to be going strong.
What does Penny Taylor do for a living?
Penny Taylor is a former professional basketball player and assistant coach.
Born on May 24, 1981, Taylor hails from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She pursued her schooling at Upwey High School and further earned a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport. She started playing for the Australian Institute of Sport in the Women’s National Basketball League. Taylor ended up winning the WNBL title in the next season.
Further, she played for Dandenong Rangers in the league and led the league with 25.5 points and 2.5 steals per game during the 2000–01 season. Taylor returned to the team in the 2014–15 WNBL season.
In 2001, she was chosen by the WNBA team, the Cleveland Rockers. However, in 2004, she was shifted to the Phoenix Mercury during a dispersal draft. After years of succesful stints, Penny Taylor retired from the WNBA, playing her last game in October 2016.
Aside from her WNBL and WNBA career, Taylor has played for the Australian women’s national team. She has won Olympic medals, a gold medal for her team at the World Championships, and also bagged the WNBL MVP title.
