The comedian jokingly explained, “I guess in Jurassic Park terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought.” He added, “Of all the threats out there I wasn’t thinking it was Jonathan.”
The NBC star also addressed the media hype regarding Johansson and Bailey’s red carpet kisses that made headlines for weeks. Jost noted, “People really blow it out of proportion when someone kisses their friend hello.”
Jost shared some of his ideas to finish “the loop” of kisses. The 43-year-old father of one gushed, “Jonathan’s an out gay man, it didn’t seem like the biggest threat. Jonathan and I were like, ‘I guess we have to kiss now? Is that what happens, close the loop.”
