He said, “It is bittersweet. I was kind of really excited to feel closed off with somebody. It took a lot for me to get to that point, but it was just not meant to be.” Vansteenberghe and Ortega had formed one of the most stable connections in season 7 of the Peacock reality series. However, just a week before the finale, narrator Iain Stirling informed viewers that Ortega had “left the villa due to a personal situation” and that Vansteenberghe was now “officially single.”
