Superman star Nathan Fillion recently reacted to an online article that confused him with his brother. In the upcoming film, releasing later this week, the actor essays Guy Gardner, a member of the Green Lantern Corps and Justice Gang.
What did Nathan Fillion say about being confused for lookalike brother
Superman’s Nathan Fillion recently took to Instagram to share a screengrab of an Info Petite Nation article highlighting his career. The piece had mistakenly used a picture of his brother, Jeff, as the featured image. However, instead of expressing anger or annoyance, the Castle alum found levity in the outlet’s blunder.
“Thank you, Info Petite Nation, for the lovely and flattering article on my career,” Fillion wrote in the caption. “My family really enjoyed it. Thank you especially, for using a photo of my brother Jeff, instead of me. My family REALLY enjoyed that. #neverlivingthisdown.”
The actor tagged his brother in the Instagram post. However, Jeff does not seem to have commented or reacted to it. Check out the post below:
Fillion’s colleagues from the film and television industry reacted to the hilarious situation. James Gunn, Michelle Monaghan, and his co-stars from The Rookie — Alyssa Diaz, Jenna Dewan, and Ali Larter — commented with the Face with Tears of Joy emoji.
Elizabeth Banks, who worked with Fillion and Gunn in the film Slither, wrote, “This is amazing!! Go JEFF.” Melissa O’Neil, the actor’s The Rookie co-star, commented, “Is this real?!?” accompanied by more Face with Tears of Joy emojis. Meanwhile, Star Trek: Insurrection director Jonathan Frakes jokingly suggested that people liked Jeff better than the Superman star.
Fillion seems to share a strong bond with his brother Jeff, occasionally praising the latter and his influence on his life. On June 17, 2024, the actor uploaded an Instagram post, where he shared that his brother and their father had influenced “every success” in his life. He added that “growing up” with the pair was “joyful” and he counted them among his “closest of friends.” Moreover, he called them “clever, talented, kind, and admirable.”
Before this, in May 2024, Fillion shared another post on Instagram celebrating his brother’s birthday. The 54-year-old claimed that the parts of himself he got from his sibling were “some of his best parts.” He added that he viewed Jeff as a role model, despite being “extremely different” from him.
