Brad Pitt made mistakes after divorce from Angelina Jolie, claims source
F1 star Brad Pitt has recently made cryptic comments about life’s struggles at the New Heights Podcast. Following his appearance, sources close to the Hollywood heartthrob told Us Weekly that Pitt is taking accountability for his role in the breakdown of his relationship with Angelina Jolie after years of legal battles over custody and assets.
An insider explained, “The divorce is something that had been controlling his life for so many years.” They added, “He loved her and he knows he made mistakes.” The split between the two celebrities was not a smooth journey. The source noted, “It was such a divisive, toxic situation.”
Along with the divorce, the custody battle of Pitt and Jolie’s six children took a long time. The source claimed that the situation “turned the kids against him as well.” However, The Big Short star “doesn’t blame [Jolie] for everything.”
Meanwhile, Pitt recently discussed life and hardships at Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast. While the trio were originally discussing sports, the Seven star said, “Life throws these struggles your way. Sometimes everything…goes quiet, it’s perfection, it’s sublime.”
He added, “Other periods, life throws these struggles at you, and it’s how you deal with those and how you come back from those.” The two-time Oscar winner did not go into details about his hardships. But recently, he spoke about attending AA meetings in another interview.
In an Armchair podcast episode, Pitt disclosed how he was “pretty much on [his] knees” and needed “to wake the f— up in some areas.” The actor desperately needed “rebooting.”
He confessed, “I was trying anything and [everything], anything anyone threw at me… It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting.” Being “honest” about one’s own grappling time is not easy. But Pitt shared how he faced the “daunting” time.
He felt “inspired” after seeing “everyone [being] so open.” He gushed, “It gives you permission to go, ‘OK, I’m gonna step out on this edge and see what happens.’ And then I really grew to love it.”
