Sydney Sweeney dances in new TikTok to Pedro Pascal’s dialogue
On June 26, renowned influencer Amélie Tremblay took to social media to share a video alongside the Anyone But You actress.
The clip on TikTok starts with Pedro Pascal’s famous dialogue, where he says, “But daddy is a state of mind, you know what I’m saying? I’m your daddy.” Following this, George Michael’s iconic “Father Figure” song starts playing in the background.
In the video, Sydney Sweeney donned an all-black dress while Tremblay sported a cute white outfit with flowers. As Pascal’s aforementioned line cues in, the two ladies put on a pair of black shades before giving the camera a swirl as the background music switches to Michael’s hit 1987 single. Towards the end of the clip, Tremblay proceeds to hug Sweeney as the two laugh gleefully.
Since Amélie Tremblay’s posting of the video, the clip has garnered over 2.8 million views along with 230.6k likes. Moreover, while Sydney Sweeney’s dance to Pedro Pascal’s iconic dialogue has just gone viral, the internet has been referring to the Game of Thrones alum as ‘daddy’ for some time now.
In a recent interview, Pascal’s The Last of Us co-star Bella Ramsey responded to the said trend, voicing concerns for the Chile-born actor. “I felt worried for him. I want to protect him from that whole joke of becoming the internet’s daddy,” they said. Ramsey further added, “I was like, ‘I don’t want everyone to refer to you as that and see you as that. You’re so much more.'”
