A few days after Alicia Hannah-Kim accused her Cobra Kai co-star Martin Kove of assaulting her at a public event, the actress has now shared her views on the incident. Hannah-Kim took to social media to convey her thoughts about Kove biting her arm at the recent Summer Con 2025, while also expressing gratitude towards everyone who helped her throughout the ordeal.
Alicia Hannah-Kim says ‘no one wants to be attacked at work’ amid Martin Kove biting incident
On June 29, Sunday, Alicia Hannah-Kim reflected on her biting incident with fellow Cobra Kai star Martin Kove by posting a video on her Instagram profile.
She began her account by thanking her fans for their support, noting, “I wanna come on here quickly and say hello and say thank you to everyone that has reached out to me in the past week. I know that there’s a lot going on. I was really enjoying my time at Summer Con, I love meeting you guys in real life.”
Alicia Hannah-Kim, who portrayed Kim Da-Eun in the last two seasons of Cobra Kai, added, “This was a serious incident. No one wants to be attacked at work or anywhere, really. And I don’t think anybody would think this is normal or wanted or acceptable, and I just think that when you’re confronted with something like this, it’s good to stand up for yourself.”
Despite her unpleasant encounter with Kove, Alicia Hannah-Kim clarified in the video that the incident did not define her experience with Cobra Kai as a whole. Instead, she noted that the hit Netflix series had a “good vibe and great cast” and that everybody else from the project was “delightful.” The seasoned actress subsequently concluded her video by stating that she wants to “clear it up and move on.”
Hannah-Kim’s message comes after Martin Kove reportedly bit her upper arm on June 22, during the 2025 Summer Con, held in Washington. While the Heatwave star decided not to file any official charges against Kove, she did request a police report for precautionary reasons. Since then, Kove has come out to acknowledge his wrongdoings against his Cobra Kai co-star, taking full responsibility for his actions, as per TMZ.
