According to Vogue Australia, Ramsey met Oliphant around 17 years ago. However, they have yet to disclose the exact date of their marriage or whether they have any children.
Oliphant is extremely supportive of his wife’s mission to protect and conserve different species of sharks. Speaking with Vogue Australia, Ramsey recalled how Oliphant was one of the very few individuals who understood her vision and supported her cause. “I was so focused on the sharks, but every time I came up to the surface to breathe, I’d hear him talking about them in a very scientific, conservation-oriented way. I respected that a lot,” stated Ramsey.

Oliphant shares his wife’s passion for saving sharks and raising awareness about their conservation. He works closely with Ramsey and is responsible for documenting and photographing most of her underwater adventures.
Additionally, Oliphant co-founded the company One Ocean Diving along with Ramsey. As per its official bio, One Ocean Diving is one of “Hawaii’s first non-caged commercial shark diving experiences” and it introduced “free-diving with sharks to the United States.” The company offers a unique snorkelling experience with sharks, under the guidance of Ramsey and other marine experts.
