Scarlett Johansson addressed her viral red carpet kisses with Jurassic World Rebirth co-star Jonathan Bailey during a June 25 interview on the Today show. “He’s a lovable guy. What can I say?” she told host Craig Melvin, adding, “We’re just friendly people… I’ve got a lot of love to give.”
The pair shared kisses at both the London premiere on June 17 and the New York premiere on June 23. Johansson’s husband, Colin Jost, was also present at the New York event. When Melvin remarked that Bailey is “just so attractive,” Johansson responded with, “Yeah, you said it!”
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Bailey echoed the sentiment. “If you can’t kiss your friends… life’s too short not to,” he said. He made the comment during a joint appearance with co-star Mahershala Ali on Today with Jenna & Friends on June 24.
Johansson also commented on the public’s reaction. “Nothing surprises me these days,” she said of the buzz surrounding the kisses. Despite the attention, she maintained a light tone throughout, saying, “I’ve got a lot of love to give, what can I say?”

During her Today interview, Johansson also spoke about the filming experience. She described the outdoor shoots for Jurassic World Rebirth as “very warm” but said they helped her bond with Bailey and other cast members.
