The acclaimed actor enjoyed the milestone moment at the London premiere alongside daughter Bari and wife Amatus Sami-Karim, making the blockbuster debut a memorable family affair.
Mahershala Ali says his daughter ‘loved’ seeing him in Jurassic World Rebirth
Jurassic World Rebirth actor Mahershala Ali thinks his daughter Bari “loved” his new film. He talked about his experience of attending the Jurassic World Rebirth’s U.K. premiere with his wife, Amatus Sami-Karim, and 8-year-old daughter.
In a chat with ET Online, Ali shares that Bari previously watched only parts of his films. The Green Book star gushed, “I think she loved getting to see me in something because she has seen my work in little pieces…But there’s nothing I have ever been able to share with her from beginning to end.”
“So, it was nice having that experience together and getting to sit there in the movie theater and watch her react to something that I was in. Her, actually, just enjoying the movie,” the actor noted.
Additionally, Ali also disclosed why the Jurassic Park franchise is special for him. In a chat with ExtraTV, the Moonlight star shared that he started acting the year the first Jurassic film came out. So, it is truly a “full circle” moment for the True Detective star.
Speaking of his experience of filming the new movie, Ali shared that he was inspired to add something to this “iconic” legacy. The actor revealed, “It was a blast to be a part of (Jurassic World Rebirth).”
“Every day we went to work, I was really inspired to go out there and do the best that we could. We were really trying to do something where we were adding on to this iconic franchise. I feel like we did that.” He added, “I think we made a good movie.”
Ali further dished out that his daughter Bari actually also visited the set of Jurassic World Rebirth in Malta. He shared that it was a “rare” occasion, knowing that she would be able to watch the movie later at the premiere. The movie will come out in theaters on July 2, 2025.
