Taylor Swift’s bodyguard approves Travis Kelce’s gesture on their NYC date
Online video footage capturing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s date night in New York City shows how the former’s bodyguard reacted to the latter’s sweet gesture.
In the footage, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end exited the couple’s car. He walked to the other side and opened Swift’s door, helping the 35-year-old out of the vehicle. The singer’s bodyguard, who was beside Kelce, allowed this gesture, typically reserved for the security team, to unfold. Swift and Kelce then entered a popular Italian eatery, Torrisi.

Kelce’s gesture sparked considerable positive fan reactions online. “The way he has a whole system down with her security is so special to me,” a fan wrote on X (Twitter).
“Men take notes,” another fan added.
“It’s the little things. Love this,” a fan tweeted.
For the outing, Swift wore a blue tank top and skirt, completing the look with beige heels and a white handbag. Meanwhile, Kelce sported a bluish-white U.S. Soccer T-shirt, along with white shorts and shoes.
Another video from their date night was also released online. In that clip, Kelce could be seen shaking hands with an employee while leaving the restaurant. He slicked back his hair and turned around to wait for Swift, who then approached him. Kelce gently grabbed Swift’s arm and helped her into the car, while her bodyguard shielded them.
Last month, PEOPLE reported via a source that the Bad Blood singer was staying in Florida to support Kelce, while the latter trained for the upcoming NFL season.
