Jennifer Aniston expresses her desire to do a Broadway play
After decades of success in television and film, Jennifer Aniston is opening up about her career “bucket list.” In a recent interview with People, the star revealed that performing in a Broadway production is something she is still hoping to achieve.
Aniston said, “I definitely want to do a Broadway play. That’s on my bucket list, but it’s finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material. But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway.” Though she has spent nearly four decades in film and TV, Aniston has yet to perform live on stage. She added, “The idea of performing in front of a live audience is something I’ve always wanted to experience.”
Currently, Aniston stars in Apple TV+’s acclaimed series The Morning Show, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and Karen Pittman. The series is expected to return with its fourth season later this year, with Aniston also serving as a producer. Her future projects include the upcoming film Hail Mary as well as a new untitled film directed by Sophie Goodhart.
Despite her packed schedule, Aniston spoke candidly about the need for personal time and a better work-life balance. “I’m a bit of a workaholic,” she admitted. The actress said, “So I’m forcing myself to try to take some time to travel and not work. It’s so critical, I know, but I’m not good at it.” Aniston also added, “Our work is diminishing returns at the end of the day, if you’re just working so much that you don’t have any wonderful life experiences.”
