Here’s Why ‘Sydney Sweeney Bath Water Soap’ Is Trending Again

Sydney Sweeney fans are searching for her limited edition bath water soap, as it has sold out on the original website. Sweeney’s collaboration with Dr. Squatch originally went on sale on Friday, June 6. However, it didn’t take long before the product went out of stock, prompting fans to search for the soap in secondary marketplaces.

Why is ‘Sydney Sweeney bath water soap’ trending?

Sydney Sweeney’s controversial bath water soap is back on trend as fans search for it online. While the original Dr. Squatch website notifies that the item is sold out, fans found it on eBay, selling it at a higher price point.

Originally, the Euphoria star’s bath water soap was priced at $8. But on eBay listings, the price of the limited edition item goes as far as $300-345. One such listing also priced the soap at $799.

Previously, Sweeney’s bath water soap had sparked a social media frenzy as many drew comparisons between her new product and some of Goop’s infamous products by Gwyneth Paltrow. While talking about the quirky idea, The White Lotus star told E! News that it was her own idea. “I pitched it,” she noted.

The Madame Web star’s limited edition bathwater soap was advertised to be a mix of “the outdoors and Sydney Sweeney’s bathtub.” The official website teased, “Experience the ultimate blend of outdoor serenity with refreshing notes of pine, Douglas fir, earthy moss, and a touch of Sydney’s very own bathwater.”

Fans were curious about the scent of the soap, which will seemingly have the actress’ actual bathwater in it. The website disclosed that the scent of the soap is Sydney’s “Bathwater Bliss.”

Meanwhile, the quick sellout of Sweeney’s soap has brought back discourse regarding the new-age influencer marketing and whether this is Sweeney’s masterstroke. An X (formerly Twitter) user opined, “The marking of this was genius. I’ll never forget Dr. Squatch’s brand name.”

Another user weighed in, stating on Reddit, “The bar is meaningless, they established their audience and market. Who knows whats next but she is definitely getting paid from the marketing budget.”
