Recently, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones were spotted cheering for their daughter, Carys, as she graduated from Brown University. The couple joined their daughter at the institution to celebrate her academic milestone. Moreover, Zeta-Jones captured the heartfelt moments and shared them online.

The Basic Instinct actor and his spouse recently celebrated an important family occasion as their daughter, Carys, graduated from Brown University. 

To celebrate the moment, Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a touching photo on Instagram showing both parents kissing their daughter on each cheek. Dressed in a long white gown, Carys posed between her mother and father.

The Wednesday star wore a black two-piece suit, while Michael Douglas opted for a navy blue suit for the occasion. Alongside the image, Zeta-Jones wrote, “The night before graduation!!!! We are both such proud parents right now!! It’s only just begun!!”

Additionally, Zeta-Jones gave followers a glimpse into the celebration through her Instagram stories. She shared an image of a graduation cake that read, “Congratulations Graduation Class of 25” in frosting and shared photos of Carys and her classmates on the steps of Brown University. Additional snapshots showed the young girl smiling, embracing friends, and enjoying the special day.

Carys, who earned her degree in Film and International Relations, is the younger of two children Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones share. Their son Dylan, now 24, graduated from the same university in 2022. Furthermore, Douglas has an older son, Cameron, 46, from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker.

In a 2010 interview with AARP The Magazine, Michael Douglas reflected on how becoming a father later in life shifted his focus. He shared, “My career was the most important thing in my life, followed by marriage and children. And it’s completely reversed now.” The Wall Street star added, “I never anticipated starting a family and the joy of raising kids at my age.” (via PEOPLE)
