She penned a caption sharing her recovery from her emergency surgery to remove her appendix and also treat her recurring endometriosis. Irwin also shared motivational words to support other women suffering from the same disease.

“Healing. Thank you for your incredible words of support and kindness. The reason I share my health journey is because more girls and women desperately need answers to their undiagnosed pain,” the popular conservationist began.

She continued, “I’ve battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years. This disease is crippling and can make you feel incredibly isolated. We need to raise awareness and change the narrative for women’s health. I see you, your pain is real, and you deserve answers and genuine health care. For more information, visit @endofound.”

Bindi’s husband, Chandler Powell, and younger brother, Robert Irwin, made Instagram posts as well, celebrating the incredible strength she has shown throughout the ordeal. Additionally, fans and other celebrities flooded the comment section with supportive messages and best wishes.

Bindi Irwin first shared her endometriosis diagnosis publicly in March 2023 via an Instagram post featuring a post-surgery photo. She revealed that she had been suffering from the disease for decades and had 37 lesions and a cyst. Irwin had to go under the knife again this year due to a sudden ruptured appendix. The diagnosis revealed further complications, including the development of new endometriosis lesions. In the recent surgery, the doctors removed her appendix and 14 endometriosis lesions, as well as stitched up a hernia. (via Bindi Irwin’s Instagram)
