Chris Brown Gets Bail Granted by UK Court, Claims Report

Rapper Chris Brown has been granted bail before his world tour begins on June 8. Brown announced his release on Instagram with a caption, “From the cage to the stage.” Reports claim that the “King of R&B” had to pay a hefty security fee to the court to ensure his bail.

Did Chris Brown get his bail granted?

Grammy winner Chris Brown is out of police custody, as a London court has granted his bail. The rapper was reportedly not present at the Southwark Crown Court when the judge announced his bail. As per the court, Brown must pay a £5 million (approx. $6,699,400) security fee to the court (via BBC).

For the uninitiated, a security fee is generally taken to ensure that the defendant comes back to court for further proceedings. Additionally, Brown may need to “forfeit” the hefty amount if he does not follow the conditions of his bail.

The rapper’s bail was granted a week after his arrest in Manchester, England. The R&B artist faced detention for an incident that took place at the Hanover Square venue, dating back to February 19, 2023.

Brown appealed for his bail on Friday, a day after his detention. The court declined the initial bail and finally allowed it on Wednesday, May 21, upon several conditions. As per the BBC report, the hip-hop star has to pay £4 million immediately and can pay the remaining £1 million within the next seven days.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s 2025 Breezy Bowl XX tour starts on June 8 in Amsterdam. Next, the “F.A.M.E.” crooner will hold two back-to-back concerts in Germany on June 11 and 13. After that, he will return to the U.K. for nine concerts in Manchester, London, and Birmingham.

Brown will embark on the U.S. leg of the tour at the end of July. The 36-year-old artist will kick off the U.S. tour in Miami on July 30 at LoanDepot Park. After over thirty-three shows, the “Go Crazy” hitmaker will conclude his U.S. tour at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis on October 18.

Right before Brown’s arrest, the singer released his tour special merch on Instagram. Fans can purchase the exclusive items at the stadiums. The rapper teased, “This is one of our biggest collections to date.”
