Ryan Leslie, who has been named in Cassie Ventura‘s testimony in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial, has sparked curiosity among fans.
According to Ventura’s statements, she had a relationship with Leslie at the time of working at Diddy’s label. Leslie is a record producer, singer, and songwriter by profession. Moreover, he had a significant involvement in Ventura’s career.
As per a report by Just Jared, Leslie was the one who discovered Ventura in 2004 and signed her under his label NextSelection. This was before she joined Diddy’s company as a part of a joint venture. Leslie also has producing and writing credits on Ventura’s debut track “Me & U”.
While speaking with DJ Vlad in 2009, Leslie claimed to share a good relationship with Ventura and said, “I love Cassie. I love her… I fell in love with her family and everything that it took for two young people in New York City hustling together. Um, it was inevitable.” However, he avoided mentioning details about their rift after Ventura joined Diddy.
Furthermore, in her testimony, Ventura confessed to cheating on Leslie with Diddy in 2006, while they were on a trip to Miami. She further added, “He made me feel crazy for not reciprocating, at the time I did not understand that kind of relationship and I was in a relationship with someone else. I was just so young and did not have the vocabulary for some of the things we talked about. I was just trying to understand it, just completely inexperienced at that point.”
